Arm/Thigh Lift Houston
The skin on arms and legs can be excessive and hanging, especially after major weight loss. Surgical procedures can remove unwanted excess skin and tissue to improve the shape and contour of the thigh and upper arms.
The procedure is performed under general anesthetic and the duration is 2 – 4 hours. After surgery, patients are placed into a pressure garment. Garments are then continued for 4 –6 weeks. Patients may require an overnight stay in the hospital. Scars will be visible after surgery, but are positioned on the underside of arms, or inner thighs. Patients typically experience pain, swelling, and bruising and occasional numbness. Most patients can return to work in 1 – 2 weeks.
Additional surgical risks will be discussed in consultation.
Please schedule a consultation with Dr. Carpin to discuss if you are a surgical candidate, and to review the risks, benefits, alternatives, and expected outcomes of the procedure.
