Chin augmentation can improve and balance facial proportions.
A chin implant will be customized to give your chin increased projection and/or width. The procedure is performed in the operating room under general anesthesia or heavy sedation. A small incision is made under the chin and the implant is placed. Sutures are placed and a light dressing and compression garment is placed. Patients return home the same day.
Patients will experience pain, swelling, bruising, and temporary numbness. Patients will be able to return to work in one week. Most swelling resolves in 4 to 6 weeks, but it may take several months for the final results to be apparent.
The average price for chin augmentation ranges from $4,000-$5,000. A personalized quote will be determined after consultation with Dr. Carpin.
Risks include scarring, firmness of implant, implant mobility or infection. Additional risks will be discussed during the consultation.
