Fat Transfer to the Face
Fat grafting or liposculpture is a method that can safely restore or enhance volume of the cheeks, temples, or lips.
Facial fat transfer can be performed under local anesthetic in the office. Fat is typically removed from the abdomen or thighs using a small cannula with gentle suction, and is transferred as small fat cells or microfat grafts to the desired location. Only small punctures are needed to transfer the microfat grafts. It has also potential for improving skin quality at the transfer site. Results are long lasting.
